This training year, each cadet will be issued an FTU. The FTU will be the dress of the day and worn for all regular parade nights, and field training excercises (FTX). The existing cadet uniform will be work on CO parades and other special occasions as directed by the Officer Staff. Unfortunately the due date to order the new uniforms is September 1st, so we require each cadet to be measure by a family member and the measuremens sumbitted to the squadron by August 29th so that we can place the orders. This summer three Virtual Cadet Training Centres will help deliver exciting challenges and activities for cadets. Throughout the summer they will offer different opportunities for cadets to further develop both personal and cadet skills in a new, virtual setting.
Cadets will have the opportunities to participate in flexible, voluntary training opportunities either independently at their own pace or in facilitated sessions. This summer will be about engagement and flexibility while continue to focus on the cadet experience.
5-weeks of summer training activities
Registration starts 10:00AM central time. It requires an email from your cadet’s email address in order for them to be uploaded for the training.

Registration for these activities will open on Monday, 29 June at 10 AM and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. In order for cadets to register for these activities, Cadets will need to send an email to VCTCRegistrationNW@Cadets.gc.ca with the information listed below.

- Name of the activity you wish to register for.
- Dates of serial you wish to register for.
- The language you would like the activity delivered in;
- Phone number (will be use as a second factor authentication for your online account)
- An email address that the cadet has access to for the duration of the course; and
- Instrument selection for cadets registering for the music course
Cadets will be contacted once they are loaded on an activity, and provided instructions on how to log in to the learning tools required to participate in the activity.

New Cadet Registrations will be accepted on any Tuesday parade night during the training year : (not being accepted at this time)
We are looking for youth age 12-18 to join 191 Squadron! We meet at ANAVETS located at 3584 Portage Avenue. We require government issued ID for the applicant. Examples of accepted ID include a Canadian Birth Certificate, Canadian Passport, Permanent Resident Card, Canadian Visa or Study Permit with Passport of citizenship, Status Card and Manitoba Identification Card. Marksmanship: (postponed until further notice) Practices are open to all cadets and will take place on Sundays from 1 – 4 PM at ANAVETS. For more information, please contact Lt Sul and listen to announcements on tuesdays for any cancellations.
Band: (postponed until further notice) Band practices are open to all cadets and take place on Sundays from 2-5 PM at ANAVETS. For more information, please contact WO2 Cha.
Drill Team: (postponed until further notice) Drill team is open to all cadets and takes place on Sundays from 4 – 6 PM at ANAVETS. Dress is civilian clothes. Please bring your parade boots. For more information, please contact CI Walker.
Effective Speaking: Effective speaking is postponed until further notice. Good luck to WO2 Braun and Sgt Brisson who will be representing 191 RCACS at the provincial effective speaking competition the weekend of March 14-15!

Duke of Edinburgh Program: Duke of Edinburgh is a fantastic youth program that ties in nicely with the Air Cadet Program. It is open to cadets aged 14 and older. Information on the award can be found at the Duke Of Edinburgh – MB website. A summary of what the Duke of Edinburgh Award is and how it fits in with the Air Cadet Program can be found on this brochure.
